Join DPA Artistic Director, Dr. Brandon Johnson and Westminster Choir College conductor, Dr. Amanda Quist for a one-day Conducting Symposium. This Symposium is an educational offering in celebration of our 2017-18 season. Sessions on rehearsal technique, building choral sound, score preparation, program development, and perspectives of women and the choral arts, will take place during the day for all Conducting Participants. Participants will have the opportunity to conduct selections of Mozart's Requiem in a masterclass with Dr. Brandon Johnson and Dr. Amanda Quist. The day will end with a Summer Sing of Mozart's Requiem with the Detroit Concert Choir.

Conducting Symposium: 10am - 5:30pm (for registered Conducting Participants)
DCC Summer Sing: 7:00pm-9:00pm (open to public)

Conducting Participants: Open to all choral directors and choral conducting students.

Faculty: Dr. Brandon Johnson, DPA Artistic Director and Dr. Amanda Quist, Westminster Choir College
