Madeleine Krick, Project Assistant, is a 2023-24 Gordon Nelson Scholar and first-year member of the Detroit Concert Choir. She is excited to be acting as the Project Assistant for the Connoisseur Series.

Madeleine is a passionate & creative musician, whose diverse set of skills reflects her dedication to the interdisciplinary nature of music. She holds a B.M. in voice performance from Oakland University, where she studied classical voice with Dr. Edith Diggory and conducting with Dr. Mike Mitchell. Madeleine’s experience as a vocalist & accompanist, combined with her attentive investigation of historical contexts & the musical languages that shape composition, have made her a natural fit for the podium. She recently made her conducting debut serving as Assistant Music Director and Conductor for Oakland University’s 2023 production of Mozart’s Così fan tutte. Madeleine currently holds the position of Director of Music at St. Jane Frances de Chantal in Sterling Heights and runs a private voice studio.
