Join us for a comedic opera in one act - Donizetti’s The Night Bell, February 18, 2024. Get transported to the home of Annibale Pistacchio and laugh the night away. Wedding guests will gather at the Pistacchio home to celebrate the marriage of the famous doctor to his young bride, Serafina. Among the guests will be Enrico, Serafina's former romantic interest who is determined to win her back. Will our newlyweds be able to celebrate their wedding night peacefully, and WHY are there so many patients ringing the night bell?

We are excited to add this exclusive series to our 2023-24 season! Prepared by young professionals in the Detroit Concert Choir, the Connoisseur Series concerts will showcase some of opera’s favorite melodies and stories. The Connoisseur Series is sponsored in part by the Michigan Arts & Culture Council’s New Leader’s Grant. This grant provides support for arts and culture projects led by a person under the age of 30. The grant aids in the development of young leaders to ensure the preservation of accessible arts and culture experiences. Our Connoisseur Series is led by the DCC Creative Assistant, Olivia Donnel.
